::Journalism to connect worlds::

According to the Mayan Calendar, I am an Enlazadora de Mundos, which means that I connect the worlds. I know that can have many different meanings, but I believe I have finally discovered what it means to me.

History, my first Baccalaureate degree, taught me different cultures and the most important, the sensibility to approach them. But I was still missing one thing: the instruments. The reason why I decided to learn journalism as a second Baccalaureate was to learn instruments to document these worlds.

By the "worlds" I mean here in the U.S., back in São Paulo, my home town in Brazil, or anywhere I hope to be during this interesting journalism career that I'm just starting.

Every day I go out on an assignment, no matter what I am reporting about, I feel I'm accomplishing something. Every day is a lesson, every source teaches me something about reporting and every photography teaches me a new angle.

I'm happy to be able to show you a little bit of my published writing samples, photography, design and special interests. And all I can say is that I am now where I wanted to be.
